Dr. A. O. Atiyah
plastic, Reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon
Dr. A.O. Atiyah is a Board Certified Surgeon with more than 20 years experience. He completed his undergraduate, medical school and residency training at Dalhousie University. After receiving his Royal College certification in Plastic Surgery, he started his practice in Cape Breton as the first and only Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon on Cape Breton Island. He holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at Dalhousie University.
Dr. Atiyah completed the Aesthetic fellowship training at the University of Toronto where he worked with world-renowned faculty. He has introduced cutting edge innovations in cosmetic surgery to Cape Breton.
Dr. Atiyah has served as the Chief of Surgery in the Cape Breton District Health Authority. He is a member of many societies including the Canadian Society of Plastic surgeons, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Atiyah’s goal is to provide excellent care to Cape Bretoners. He strives for natural results leading to a better version of yourself. The objective is not for you to look like someone else. Dr. Atiyah listens to your needs and will provide recommendation that best fit you. Dr. Atiyah’s training, certifications and specialties allows him to make recommendations that are suitable to the patient’s needs whether it is non-surgical or surgical. Patient safety is paramount and quality results is his mission.

Betty joined Dr. Atiyah in 2004. She completed her BA from Dalhousie University and brings 13 years of extensive experience in the surgical and non-surgical approach to cosmetic treatments. She has had considerable training in the cosmetic world and is highly qualified to guide patients through their experiences. She is committed to your safety, privacy and overall results. Betty prides herself in excellent customer satisfaction and is dedicated to a positive patient experience.
JAUNA MURPHY
ESTHETICIAN AND LASER TECHNICIAN
We extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our team. After a successful career as a CCA; Jauna decided to make a career change. She graduated in 2017 with Honors (Hons) in Cosmetology and Esthetics from Cape Breton Business College. Jauna will practice medical esthetics with more specialized training in skin resurfacing, photo-rejuvenation and skin tightening . She will offer other spa services such as facials, manicures and pedicures.
